The Story

Any friend of wine.

There is a sign behind the bar. It reads: any friend of wine is a friend. That is about the whole philosophy.

Good wine, good beer, good friends.

It is the line Salt Creek opens with, and it holds up. A warm, easy room off Town Center Drive where the wine is taken seriously and nothing else is.

01

Good Wine

Twenty-two to thirty-two open by the glass and the half-glass, rotating every week, with four hundred and fifty bottles on the wall behind them. Small producers next to Caymus and Opus One, and imports from France, Spain, Italy, Uruguay and Israel.

02

Good Beer

Craft beer on tap and by the bottle, for the nights when wine is not the mood. Around here, good beer counts as good company too.

03

Good Friends

A neighborhood wine bar, quiet enough to talk, with a regular crowd and a steady calendar of reasons to come back. The kind of place where you walk in a stranger and leave knowing a few names.

“Very neighborhood wine bar vibe. Small, free parking. Fun atmosphere, great wine at good prices, and lots of activities.”

On the Calendar

Reasons to come back.

The room stays busy because there is almost always something on. These run on a rotating schedule, so ask at the bar or check in for the next one.

  1. 01

    Friday Night Winemaker Events

Friday nights, a winemaker pours and talks through the bottles. The most social night on the calendar.

  2. 02

    Monthly Wine Pairing Dinners

Once a month, dinner built around the wine. Courses and pours that belong together.

  3. 03

    Vineology Classes

Educational tastings for the curious. Learn the why behind what is in the glass.

  4. 04

    Sunday Sips

An easy Sunday afternoon pour, noon to six. The slow end of the weekend.

From the Kitchen

A board to go with it.

Artisan cheeses, charcuterie, and a few light plates. Enough to make a glass into an evening, never so much it gets in the way of the wine. One regular put it best: the charcuterie board, paired with the wine of the week.

  • Charcuterie Board Cured meats and a few good cheeses, built to share across a high-top with whatever red is open.
  • Artisan Cheeses A rotating handful, served with the simple things that make them sing. Ask what came in.
  • Light Appetizers Small plates to keep the table going while the next pour lands. Easy, not fussy.

Come be a friend of wine.

Pull up to the bar. Tell us what you like. We will take it from there.
